VOC Recovery from Low-Concentration Vapour Streams

Every vent stream that carries solvent into the atmosphere is money leaving your plant — and an emission liability waiting for the regulator. CCDC’s VOC recovery system, developed with technical input from Clariant, Germany, turns that loss into a revenue stream. Built on absorption principles, it recovers 95% to 99.9% of solvent from vapour streams below 10% concentration — exactly the dilute streams where carbon bed adsorption and other conventional methods become economically unviable. Where others see an unavoidable loss, our clients see solvent returned to the process and a payback measured in months.
The same technology reaches well beyond solvent recovery. It handles recovery and removal of SO₂, H₂S and mercaptans, oil field vapour recovery units (VRU), production of CNG from biogas, flue gas desulphurisation and Claus tail gas treatment. It also works as an extractive system for breaking azeotropes — ethyl alcohol–water, isopropyl alcohol–water, toluene–methanol–water, ethanol–ethyl acetate–water — giving a single, proven platform for some of the hardest separation problems in the industry.
